Pinnacol Assurance Named One of the 50 Best Employers to Work for in America

Pinnacol ranked 15th in Medium-Sized Employers Category


DENVER, Sept. 28, 2010 - Pinnacol Assurance has been recognized as a “Great Place to Work” again. The 7th Annual Great Place to Work® Rankings for 2010 were announced today and Pinnacol Assurance ranked 15th on the list in the medium‐sized employers category. Pinnacol has been among the top 25 medium‐sized employers three times in the past four years and was one of four Colorado companies to be honored. Pinnacol is one of only two insurance companies to make the rankings.

The list, which is presented by Entrepreneur®, represents the best workplaces separated into two categories: small companies with 50‐250 employees and medium companies with 251‐999 employees. Great Place to Work® Institute, based in San Francisco, produces the Best Small and Medium Workplaces list each year.

The Great Place to Work® Institute evaluated Pinnacol based on five areas: credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie. The Institute’s unique methodology measures the level of trust that exists between employees and management, the pride employees express about the company and the camaraderie employees share.

The rankings are primarily based on employee opinion surveys that analyze an organization’s workplace culture. Employee‐survey responses count for twothirds of an organization’s score.
