In 2000, Pinnacol Assurance established the Pinnacol Foundation scholarship program for the children of Colorado workers who have been fatally injured or seriously disabled in compensable work-related accidents.

To qualify for a scholarship, a candidate must be the child of a worker fatally injured or seriously disabled in a compensable work-related accident during the course and scope of employment with a Colorado-based employer, regardless of insurance carrier.
