Dividend Information
For the seventh year in a row, eligible Colorado businesses received general dividend checks from Pinnacol Assurance in 2011. The 2011 dividend total was $41.25 million. The general dividend is a portion of Pinnacol’s surplus paid to policyholders who earn it through their commitment to workplace safety and controlling claims costs, and because of the company’s financial strength and stability.
In 2011, 85 percent of our policyholders received dividend checks. The company has returned more than $435 million in general dividends to Colorado’s business community since 2005. For a quick look at the numbers, check out the 2011 General Dividend infographic.
