Dividend Information
For the sixth year in a row, eligible Colorado businesses will receive general dividend checks from Pinnacol Assurance in 2010. The 2010 dividend total is $47.5 million. The general dividend is a portion of Pinnacol’s surplus paid to policyholders who earn it through their commitment to workplace safety and controlling claims costs, and because of the company’s financial strength and stability.
In 2010, 86 percent of our policyholders received dividend checks. The company has returned nearly $400 million in general dividends to Colorado’s business community since 2005.
