On Friday, Oct. 14, Pinnacol held our SelectNet Physician Conference, “New Visions for Chronic Pain: Managing the Chronic Pain Patient.” More than 100 SelectNet members and physicians attended the event held at the Mount Vernon Event Center in Golden, Colo.
Pinnacol President and CEO Ken Ross, along with Medical Director Edward Leary, opened the conference with a welcome address.
A variety of current topics — including medical marijuana and complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) — were presented and discussed by doctors Robert Barth, James Talmage and Bart Goldman. Area attorneys Paul Krueger of Ritsema & Lyon and Michael Kaplan and Britton Morrell of Kaplan Morrell (pictured above, in the forefront) provided legal perspectives throughout the day.
The presentations were independent to each presenter and did not represent any Pinnacol policies or standards. We selected the topics for discussion to generate different viewpoints and opinions among attendees.
