Clinic Performance Initiative (CPI) Data Appeal Period Begins on August 1
Corporate News
June 2011
As we noted in a previous Provider Pulse article, the Clinic Performance Initiative (CPI) will complete its first official reporting on June 30. Following a one-month data compilation period, the CPI will start its first data appeal period on Aug. 1.
For those clinics participating in the CPI, please mark your calendars, as additional information regarding the program’s appeal period will be sent to you, via email and traditional U.S. mail, in mid-July.
It’s important that you thoroughly review this material and be prepared to view your CPI program scores beginning on Aug. 1. You will have 45 days from this date to appeal disputed data and seek adjustments to your results. Pinnacol must be notified of any data concerns no later than 5 p.m. on Sept. 14.
Following the completion of this formal appeal period, CPI performance results will be shared with parties outside of your organization and will also be used to determine any applicable performance rewards. CPI data will not be changed once a reporting period’s appeal timeframe has expired and the resulting data is shared with external parties.
Should you have any questions regarding the CPI or the upcoming data appeals period, please contact Pinnacol’s medical operations team at 303.361.4945 and speak to the provider relations specialist assigned to your geographic area of Colorado.
