Clinical Performance Initiative (CPI) Data Now Available

Corporate News

September 2011

On Sept. 16, Pinnacol’s SelectNet directory will begin displaying star rating and performance data for those clinics participating in our CPI program, and with that achievement comes the completion of another major milestone for this program.

Specifically, PCP clinic star ratings and performance information will be accessible to the public via the online SelectNet provider directory, while program results for specialist clinics are only available to referring PCPs via a password-protected website. Specialist clinic results are not available to the public.

As we have noted in previous Provider Pulse articles, the CPI was designed to measure medical provider clinic performance, share measurement results and reward those clinics that meet or exceed specified performance standards.

Pinnacol will be the only workers' compensation carrier with this type of measurement system, which will directly benefit those with whom we partner. The CPI will:

  • Allow policyholders to make informed designated medical provider selections
  • Improve the service experience for injured workers
  • Drive improved efficiencies in claims management processes and service
  • Offer potential financial rewards and marketing opportunities to high performing medical clinics
  • Provide ongoing feedback to provider clinics regarding operational and administrative performance

Access the SelectNet directory and view results.

Next for the CPI will be the implementation of the program’s performance rewards component. Through this feature, high-performing medical clinics can earn compensation for performance excellence. Additional information related to this portion of the CPI will be provided in our October Provider Pulse publication.

If you have any questions regarding the CPI program, please contact Pinnacol’s medical operations team at 303.361.4945 and speak to the provider relations specialist assigned to your contract.
