Important Milestones Approach for CPI
Corporate News
May 2011
Pinnacol’s Clinic Performance Initiative (CPI), which formally launched on Jan. 1 of this year, will soon reach a major project milestone.
On June 30, the program’s first official reporting period will be completed. Following a one-month data compilation period, a second, equally important milestone will be reached on Aug. 1 the start of the program’s first data appeal period.
Additional information regarding the program’s appeal period will be sent to participating clinics, via email and traditional US mail, in mid-July. It’s important that you thoroughly review this material and be prepared to view your CPI program scores beginning on Aug. 1. You will have 45 days from this date to appeal disputed data and seek adjustment to your results. Pinnacol must be notified of any data concerns no later than 5 p.m. on Sept. 14.
Following the completion of this formal appeal period, CPI performance results will be shared with parties outside of your organization and will also be used to determine any applicable performance rewards. CPI data will not be changed once a reporting period’s appeal timeframe has expired and the resulting data is shared with external parties.
Should you have any questions regarding the CPI or the upcoming data appeals period, please contact Pinnacol’s medical operations team at 303.361.4945 and speak to the provider relations specialist assigned to your geographic area of Colorado.
