Pinnacol’s SelectNet specialists and Primary Care Providers (PCPs) have important, mutually-dependent roles in the workers’ compensation process.
Within SelectNet, here are their roles:

Required to communicate directly with the PCP by telephone or fax within 24 hours of the initial exam and follow up with a narrative report within five (5) business days after each visit |
| Schedules the initial specialist appointment |
Required to see the injured worker within five (5) business days of the referring PCP provider’s visit |
It’s important that the PCP contacts the specialist the same day the physician makes the referral for scheduling AND that the specialist provides timely medical records to the PCP.
