We work hard to ensure our providers have access to the Pinnacol educational resources you’ve come to rely on. As part of that work, our Medical Payment Quality Assurance department has created an online Workers’ Compensation Billing and Coding video.
Our presenter, Holly Pappas, CPC-P, CDEO, CPMA, identifies common billing and coding errors detected in audits and helps you understand what may delay your payment. She provides tips to improve your turnaround time and to reduce your error rate.
We also offer an online Workers’ Compensation Basics course. The eight modules are an Introduction to Workers’ Compensation, The Chronology of a Case, The Division Rules, The Quality Performance and Payment Program, Medical Causality, Medical Treatment Guidelines, Pinnacol Processes, and Network Participation Standards.
Each of the modules takes 12 to 22 minutes to complete and includes a video, a transcript, a self-study guide, an assessment quiz, and a certificate of completion. Increase or refresh your knowledge of workers’ compensation here.
