On Aug. 10, Pinnacol hosted a provider and vendor fair at our Lowry office. It was the first time Pinnacol hosted an event of its kind post-pandemic, and there was an incredible turnout. Twenty providers and vendors participated, and 120 Pinnacol employees attended. Vendor participants had to meet at least one of the criteria below to participate in this year’s vendor fair:

• Their SelectNet agreement went into effect in 2020 or later.
• They offer uncommon services, such as outpatient detox services or bilingual (non-Spanish) providers.
• They offer higher cost-saving options for Pinnacol customers compared to industry peers providing the same service(s).

This event was an excellent chance for providers and vendors to make valuable connections while promoting their offerings to other SelectNet participants and Pinnacol employees in an in-person setting. The fair’s success was highlighted by the various opportunities it offered attendees. Some secured immediate referrals from Pinnacol employees, and others gained Pinnacol employees as new clients. One participant learned about another provider’s services which they plan to use on an ill family member.

Those who attended had the opportunity to meet with their external provider relations specialist, schedule visits and learned more about Pinnacol’s resources. The event helped claims representatives and vendors put faces to names, improving their working relationships. Additionally, Pinnacol’s claims representatives discovered services from new SelectNet participants they were unfamiliar with.

The fair was a fantastic exchange of ideas and opportunities, and due to its success, Pinnacol plans on hosting one again. Please watch your email for additional information and timing as it becomes available.
