Looking back at what we’ve accomplished for agents in 2018, and looking forward to what’s coming next.
In 2018, Pinnacol made significant enhancements to the digital experience we offer our agent partners. We updated our Agent Quote system, expanded our Agent Portal and introduced a straight-through underwriting process that significantly improves turnaround times on small-business quotes to agents. We are proud of the progress we made in 2018, and we’re looking forward to making even greater strides next year and beyond.
What’s coming next?
We know you — our agent partners — and our mutual customers continue to look for greater ease and speed of service, control, and flexibility when it comes to your experience with Pinnacol. To help deliver that experience, Pinnacol’s innovation team that developed Cake, our online platform for direct customers, is building an agent-focused solution that will make dramatic improvements in your experience and efficiency when serving the small business customer segment. The team is creating an integrated online platform (technology, service and business processes) that will empower agents and small-business customers to concentrate on growing and managing their businesses, not navigating complex insurance processes. Development of this new platform will begin soon, so stay tuned for updates on our progress.
In addition to our work on a new agent experience platform, we’re excited about the launch of our new annual review (formerly called audit) process. This new online annual review process, which will be available to mutual customers through our Policyholder Portal, will be simpler and faster. We’ve already started testing the new process with a small group of direct customers, and plan to make it available to more customers beginning in early 2019.
