Pinnacol has made an ongoing commitment to improving our agents’ digital experience. We are listening carefully to your feedback about new features you would like to see in our Agent Portal, and we keep working hard to deliver them. With this in mind, we are pleased to announce that on Tuesday, March 6, Pinnacol launched the first in a series of exciting new features in the Agent Portal.
What are the new features?
These features will allow you to:
- Search for policy and claims information.
- Run policy reports (the same policy reports, but with a cleaner look and feel).
- Access helpful resources, including rate information, Pinnacol’s Agency Manual, forms and training resources.
We think, based on feedback from our agent user group, you will find these features intuitive and easy-to-use. You can see detailed information about what’s new in the Agent Portal Release Guide available on the portal. We plan to launch more new features — including enabling agents to make an online payment, request an endorsement and access a general dividend history — in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more details.
Are there any other changes?
In addition to letting you know what’s new, we want to alert you to some changes you will see immediately and in the next few months.
Access to sensitive data
To ensure the safety of our mutual customers’ and injured workers’ sensitive data, we have eliminated agents’ access to the following information:
- Payee information for injured workers (i.e., name and address).
- Claims correspondence.
- Injured workers’ general correspondence (including admission information).
- Injured workers’ Treating Physician’s Progress Report (Form WC 164).
We apologize for any inconvenience if you were one of our few agent partners who used this information as a service tool, but we trust you will understand why we have made this decision.
Agent legacy system to be retired in June
The new features and functionality we are adding to the Agent Portal will allow us to retire our legacy agent system (Pinnacol Online) in June. We know many of our agent partners are accustomed to using the old system, which is why we want to give you plenty of time to get comfortable with the portal’s new features and functions. We will be sure to send you regular reminders before the legacy system goes away.
