During the 2014 Colorado Legislative Session, state lawmakers passed House Bill 1383, which requires employers to increase the number of physicians or corporate medical providers they designate to treat their injured workers from two to four. The new law goes into effect April 1, 2015. Designate your additional providers now.

We encourage you to select medical providers that will best suit your organization’s unique needs. However, if you do not designate your four providers, Pinnacol will designate SelectNet providers for your policy by the April 1, 2015, deadline. To be compliant with the law, you will still need to provide the Designated Providers List Notification Letter to your employees at the time of injury.
