We're ringing in the holidays with enhanced portal user functionality ... designed just for you.
It’s easy to overlook birthdays that fall during the holiday season, but there’s one especially worth celebrating: Pinnacol’s Policyholder Portal turned one on Dec. 15. Since its arrival last year, the portal has grown from 4,000 users to more than 19,000. Now that’s a growth spurt. How’d it happen? Well, we tuned in to you and gave you what you’ve been asking for.
Electronic premium payment, enhanced payroll reporting
Over the past year, we’ve worked hard to enhance the Policyholder Portal with functionality based on common customer feedback. For example, our portal now accepts credit card premium payments. Previously, customers called in credit card payments — 30,000 times a year.
Another time-saver comes from an enhancement to payroll reporting. Now you can report payroll on the Policyholder Portal simply by going to “My Account” and selecting “Report Payroll.” Previously, you had to retrieve a payroll report ID number from a premium invoice. This proved especially tedious for many organizations that report payrolls for several employers. Now, you can simply log in, toggle between policies and enter payroll reporting information for each. You can also review historical payroll data, report current payroll data and pay the resulting premium in one seamless visit to the portal.
Enabling tiered access, blocking unauthorized users
In response to customer feedback, Pinnacol has enhanced the functionality of the Policyholder Portal’s security as well.
Our previous portal granted full access to users. You told us you wanted to govern portal access based on the job responsibilities of employees. We heard you and developed tiered access. So, for example, a fire department can restrict a firefighter’s portal access to only submitting First Reports of Injury. The firefighter won't have access to any confidential claims or policy information. Additionally, Pinnacol's customers can grant portal access to authorized users.
This is just the beginning of Pinnacol’s digital evolution. We’ll continue to listen to you and provide additional best-in-class digital tools.
