Instructional Design and Classroom Educator
Pinnacol Assurance is looking for a unique individual who has the combined experience of teaching and working in the classroom as well as doing instructional design for our new CareerWise Program. This position will require classroom experience in teaching, an ability to work with parents and the aptitude to counsel students around their apprentice experience and careers.
Pinnacol Assurance is looking for a Maintenance Technician who will assist higher-level maintenance staff by performing and assisting with daily scheduled routine maintenance tasks as well as other specialized tasks as delegated by the facilitates manager. Must be able to learn the methods, practices, tools, and materials associated with building maintenance trades, have a strong mechanical aptitude, have effective verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills, and be able to work well independently as well as on a team. Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED, 2 years related experience in an entry-level position, and have valid driver's license and proof of insurance. This position may perform work outdoors in all seasons and climates, including inclement weather. Candidates should have the ability to operate heavy equipment, along with the ability to lift up to 100 pounds and assist with the lifting, pushing, or pulling of heavier objects exceeding 300 pounds. This position is required to be on call 24/7 for select periods with the flexibility to respond to building/business needs during non-business hours.
Medical Case Manager
Pinnacol Assurance is seeking a Medical Case Manager to work with claims personnel and other internal/external stakeholders to assist bringing medical and claims issues to an expedient and cost-effective resolution by providing best in class medical case management. A Colorado nursing or Physician Assistant license required; must maintain a current license. Must attain and maintain case manager certification within 3 years of hire. Five years’ experience in nursing strongly preferred.
Medical Claims Associate
Pinnacol Assurance is looking for a Medical Claims Associate to Work with team members to manage lower complexity claims and claim-related issues to the most expedient, cost effective resolution while providing quality customer service to all stakeholders. Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred. Knowledge of the workers’ compensation system required. Pursuit of continued claims education is encouraged and supported. Must successfully complete Anatomy and Medical Terminology Assessment within 6 months of hire.
Return to Work Consultant
Pinnacol Assurance is looking for a Return to Work Consultant to provide expert customer service to internal and external stakeholders which results in expeditiously returning injured workers back to work. Masters’ Degree in vocational rehabilitation or occupational therapy required. Relevant work experience (similar kind of work at a similar level of work as described in the essential duties) may be substituted for the master’s degree. Minimum five years’ experience in job placement and vocational development, counseling and/or therapy experience in clinic and or in home setting. Strongly prefer CRC (certified rehabilitation counselor), CCM (certified case manager), CDMS (certified disability management specialist) or CEAS I, II, III (Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist) certification. Extensive telephone and computer work in office environment including extensive field activities which will require travel via personal automobile within the state. Must possess valid Colorado driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance. Will have a varied working environment – mines, construction sites, factories, etc. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
Sr Back-end Developer
We’re looking for a Sr. Back-End Developer to design, implement and deliver REST based web services using Ruby. This role will utilize proven development experience to develop innovative solutions to technical problems ensuring the delivery of quality software on time in a highly collaborative and people first culture. The ideal candidate has six or more years of experience in software development with Ruby, and interacting with SQL databases, such as Oracle. Experience with Node.js a plus.
Sr Front-end Developer
Senior Medical Director
We’re looking for a Senior Medical Director to work collaboratively with Operations Leadership to develop and maintain quality and medical management strategies and network programs. Will be responsible for implementation and evaluation of clinical programs, including but not limited to, value-based programs and incentives, care outcomes, utilization management and program integrity. The ideal candidate has a comprehensive knowledge of managed care processes and systems, thorough knowledge of Workers’ Compensation laws, industry regulations, licensing and accreditation issues, current unrestricted Colorado Board of Medical Examiners License (MD or DO), current State of Colorado Division of Workers’ Compensation Level I or II Physician Accreditation, and a minimum of five years of clinical experience with at least two years in a supervisor or Medical Director position, which includes experience in administration of insurance and/or managed care programs.
Subrogation Claims Representative
Subrogation Claims Representative Pinnacol Assurance is seeking a Subrogation Claims Representative to identify claims with viable subrogation, analyze and evaluate all evidence and facts, and proactively pursue subrogation recoveries to resolution. Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred. Relevant work experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree. Five years’ experience with general liability claims adjusting experience required. Knowledge of general liability law, workers’ compensation law, and criminal law helpful. Basic understanding of medical terminology helpful. Strong negotiation skills.
