Who is an employee? Who is an independent contractor?

A common question policyholders have is whether independent contractors are covered under their workers’ compensation insurance plan. Employees and independent contractors often perform similar work, so it can be confusing. Our online training titled “Who’s an Employee? Who’s an Independent Contractor?” will help you understand the difference.

The course also covers other types of workers, such as subcontractors and loaned employees, and will explain how workers’ compensation insurance may or may not be needed for each type of worker.
