DENVER — March 19, 2024 Colorado’s largest and best-performing workers’ compensation carrier, Pinnacol Assurance, reaffirms its mission of delivering stable, valuable workers’ comp coverage by issuing a $15 million general dividend to businesses in every corner of the state.

This is the ninth consecutive year Pinacol has issued dividends to its customers. Businesses can expect to receive their dividend checks after March 21. Employers can learn more about Pinnacol’s general dividend program here. As Colorado’s leading provider of workers’ comp insurance, Pinnacol provides more dividends than any other workers’ comp carrier in Colorado and remains steadfast in its commitment to delivering a best-in-class experience for its policyholders at competitive prices.

Pinnacol Assurance operates similarly to a mutual insurer, treating its customers as its owners, which makes them eligible to receive an annual dividend based on Pinnacol’s financial performance. Dividends are also made possible by customers’ commitment to safety through timely claims reporting and investments in safety education, technology and equipment.

“By reinvesting in what matters most, we equip businesses to thrive and grow in today’s dynamic marketplace,” said Pinnacol President and CEO John O’Donnell. “At Pinnacol, we invest in the safety and well-being of our customers and their employees, and through our comprehensive safety programs and industry-leading claims support, we empower businesses to maintain safer workplaces while reducing premium costs. This year’s general dividend underscores Pinnacol’s partnership with Colorado’s businesses and employers, as well as our financial strength and responsible stewardship.”

Pinnacol’s dedication to excellence is reflected in the trust and satisfaction of its customers. Injured workers consistently rate Pinnacol the top-performing workers’ comp carrier in Colorado, according to a state-issued report. Additionally, Pinnacol boasts an impressive Net Promoter Score of 63, far surpassing the industry average of 28, demonstrating its unwavering commitment to customer care.
