DENVER — August 8, 2019 — The Pinnacol Foundation recently awarded $474,890 in scholarships to 100 students across Colorado for the 2019-2020 academic year. The foundation provides scholarships each year to students whose parents have been seriously injured or killed in work-related accidents, regardless of insurance carrier.

The Pinnacol Foundation scholarship program began 19 years ago with four students. Since 2000, the Foundation has awarded nearly $5.5 million in scholarships to more than 550 students for college and vocational training. By far, the foundation is the largest scholarship program supporting the children of workers who have been killed or seriously injured on the job in the nation.

The Pinnacol Foundation scholarship program is made possible through the generous support of Pinnacol Assurance, corporate sponsors and our community of individual donors.
