Jesus Salazar

Jesus Salazar joined the Pinnacol Assurance board of directors in 2020.

Jesus Salazar serves as CEO of Pico AI Inc., an early-stage company developing AI-driven solutions for commercial buildings, and is also Executive Chairman of Prosono LLC, a social impact consulting firm recognized as the 2019 Denver Chamber Startup of the Year. He brings extensive experience in executive leadership, start-up strategy, technology application, fundraising, and financial oversight. Jesus possesses deep expertise in board governance, having chaired key committees including Finance & Audit and Nominations & Governance across various organizations. He holds both a bachelor’s degree in Math and Computer Science and a master’s degree in Engineering and Technology Management from the Colorado School of Mines.

His extensive board leadership includes past Chairmanships of the boards for Rocky Mountain PBS, Colorado School of Mines, A+ Colorado, and Colorado Succeeds. His current board and organizational affiliations include serving as Vice Chair for Pinnacol Assurance, Nominations & Governance Chair for Elevate Quantum, an Independent Director for Empower Funds, a board member for the Denver Museum of Nature & Science (Financial Stability Committee), and Education Co-Chair for the Colorado Forum. He also recently completed his term as Strategy Chair for Energize Colorado (April 2025). Throughout these roles, Jesus has focused on driving strategic growth, ensuring financial stability, and implementing effective governance.
