Mowa Haile joined Pinnacol’s board of directors in 2021. Haile is CEO of Sky Blue Builders, a commercial General Contractor, which he founded in 2007 after a tenured career in the technology sector. Sky Blue specializes in commercial renovations with annual revenues in the $50m+.
Haile was selected as the Minority Business Person of the Year in 2012 and CEO of the Year finalist in 2015 by Colorado Biz Magazine.
Haile grew up in Fort Collins after emigrating from Eritrea in 1981 with his family at the age of nine. He was a State High School track champion and went to CSU on a track scholarship earning a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, and later getting his MBA from University of Phoenix.
Haile is the Chair-Elect for the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce. Mowa Co-Chaired the City of Denver’s Economic Relief and Recovery Council during the COVID pandemic and Chair of 2021 GO Bond Executive Committee. He also serves on the Africa Air Service Committee for Denver International Airport to bring the first direct flight from Denver to the continent of Africa.
