Quincy Douglass

Combining a mission of care with a competitive spirit, Quincy Douglass is driving operational excellence at Pinnacol Assurance and having fun in the process. As Vice President of Operations, Douglass leads the organization’s claims management, product development, member experience, and underwriting practices. He also oversees the performance and delivery of all medical operations activities, including SelectNet—Pinnacol's comprehensive preferred medical provider network—and the medical bill payments area. Throughout his tenure, Douglass has applied a relentless passion for both listening to and anticipating member needs.

Douglass prioritizes the customer experience, implements solutions quickly and learns from failure as fast as possible. This approach has led to consistent, market-leading results: under his leadership, the organization has maintained record-setting customer satisfaction scores that are more than twice the industry average. A testament to this sustained operational strength, Pinnacol has been ranked by Ward’s 50 among the top 2% of nearly 3,000 property and casualty carriers in the country every year since 2018. These achievements, further honored with two Stevie American Business Awards, reflect the compassionate claims handling standard set by Douglass.

Since joining Pinnacol in 2008, Douglass has held various leadership roles, including overseeing six business teams as well as the Customer Experience and Spanish Services teams. He was instrumental in the transformation of the customer digital experience and the creation of a comprehensive Voice of the Customer program. In recognition of his impact on the Colorado business community, Douglass recently received the Denver Business Journal’s C-Suite Award.

Prior to his time at Pinnacol, Douglass held roles at Accenture Consulting and Corporate Express. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Wyoming and carries the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation. Outside of the office, he spends his free time with his family, coaching soccer, playing golf, and taking on home improvement projects.
